Forest Swords ist der elektronische Produzent und Künstler Matthew Barnes aus Liverpool, Großbritannien.
Barnes ist dafür bekannt, Klänge in innovative elektronische Welten umzuwandeln, zuletzt auf seinem gefeierten aktuellen Album “Bolted” (Ninja Tune), auf Remixes für Björk und Neneh Cherry und einer Veröffentlichung als Teil der DJ-Kicks-Compilation-Serie.
Gleichzeitig hat er sich mit der Vertonung und Komposition zahlreicher visueller und künstlerischer Projekte befasst, darunter die Originalmusik für den mit dem Sundance Award ausgezeichneten Dokumentarfilm “Ghosts of Sugar Land”, den mit Drohnen gedrehten Kunstfilm “The Machine Air” und einen Original-Soundtrack für eine Tanzperformance der Choreografen Emma Portner und Alan Lucien Øyen für das Norwegische Nationalballett.
