The Irish songwriter A.S. Fanning moves through the borderlands of sound, where introspective folk dissolves into rock, wave, and the drifting haze of psychedelic pop—shaping darkly luminous landscapes that speak of impermanence, and of a world unravelling in slow motion.
His new album, Take Me Back To Nowhere, recorded in Sweden in a process both experimental and communal, gathers band performance and ambient texture into the same fragile vessel. What emerges is a surrender to the surreal disintegration of the present moment, yet within it lingers a faint and uncertain glow—an echo of hope that may or may not be real, but persists nonetheless, like light seen through thinning fog.
